Robiul Islam Jibon is a National Film Award-winning Bangladeshi lyricist whose career spans more than two decades. With nearly 1,000 released songs, his repertoire includes albums, music videos, films, dramas, television, radio and special projects.
Robiul Islam (born 1985), widely known as Robiul Islam Jibon, is a Bangladeshi lyricist and journalist from Hajipur village in Begumganj, Noakhali.
He has written nearly 1,000 released songs. In 2022 he received the National Film Award for Best Lyricist for the song “Dheere Dheere” from the film Poran. He has also won the Channel i Music Award for Best Lyricist three times (2009, 2010 and 2015).
Jibon began writing songs in 2002. He made his debut as a lyricist in December 2006 with Asif Akbar’s album Hridoye Roktokhoron. His film songwriting debut came in 2010 with the film Takar Cheye Prem Boro.
His lyrics span a diverse range of themes, from love, romance and longing to patriotism and sports, capturing the depth and complexity of human experience. With a distinctive lyrical sensibility and an ability to connect with audiences across generations, his work reflects a broad emotional spectrum, blending personal expression with universal themes that resonate across different walks of life.
